Nice to meet you! I’m Oriana.
Originally a yoga instructor and meditation instructor, I stepped into the physical therapy world in my assistant program and learned about pelvic health. I immediately knew this was going to be my focus for years to come. Now as a mom, I especially love treating the perinatal population, guiding people through their mothering journey with care and support that is often missed by providers. I love creating educational content through short-form videos and courses as a way to break up the grind of motherhood and full time work. I thank my blessings every day that I am able to do all of this, and I’m so grateful I can share this with you!
FAQs

In physical therapy there are PT’s (or DPT’s) and PTA’s. The PTA gets an associates for their credentials while the DPT goes through a doctoral program. PTA’s get to do all the same treatments that a DPT can do, but they can’t do initial evaluations (your first visit), plan of cares (telling insurance what the plan is), or discharges (your last appointment). Basically we have less paperwork but get to do the same thing treatment-wise with each patient!

A PTA is allowed to do all the same manual techniques and exercise prescription that a DPT or PT can do. Personally, I went through Herman & Wallace training so I am trained to treat the pelvic floor the same way the DPT does.

Under no circumstances can I offer specific advice to someone, ESPECIALLY as a PTA. I can only offer health and wellness education. If you have concerns regarding your body, I will encourage you to reach out to a provider every time you ask me. That is the only advice I can give.

Everything on my page and videos is just educational pieces that are generic and may help the general population, but every person and their body is different. If your doctor is telling you something specific, please listen to them. Whenever engaging with my content you are acknowledging that I am not liable for anything with your body.
